This is a perfect booooooook

Funny, cute... Presents different points of view which makes it more interesting. Totally recommend it. Sweet light read :)

Fun, light-hearted and had its laugh-out-loud funny moments. It had loveable characters and a heart-warming romance. What I loved the most, though, was that despite all the scheming, the naysayers and the wary, no one could touch Cal and Min. One of my fav chick-lit reads.

Cal Morrisey asks Minerva Dobbs out for a bet. Minerva agrees to go out with Cal for revenge. Laugh out loud funny.

I don't normally read romance novels. Lately I'd wondered what all the hype was about, so I decided to give the genre a try. I found a book blog website, and took note of a few highly-praised titles.

This was the second romance novel I read, and probably the last modern-day romance I will read. It was okay - there was nothing wrong with the book, other than it's just not my style. I think if I'm going to read romance, it will be either historical or paranormal romance.

In my experience, no normal, handsome, and well-off man is really going to be getting all hot and bothered over how a chubby so-so looking woman scarfs down doughnuts in front of him.

All in all, I would recommend the book if you are already a romance fan, or like modern fiction, but I think I'll stick to my normal scifi/fantasy books.

My rating: 5.5/10

Overall, it was okay for me. Cheesy, even for a romance novel. I did not like how much the fairytale storyline was referred to by so many characters. I also did not like that all three male characters immediately paired off with all three female characters.

This was a really cute, really fun romance - felt just like reading a rom-com. There were a few things I had issues with, and ultimately the central conflict went on just a tiny bit too long, but it was happy and fun and I loved it.

Truly funny and witty dialogues. Add to that, engaging and entertaining story with crazy characters. This book hits close to home, in so many ways... For that, it has probably made its way to the top of my chick-lit faves.

Grey checked jacket. Grey checked jacket. Grey checked jacket. Grey checked jacket.

I absolutely loathe when a phrase is used repeatedly and I, not the writer or the editor, catch it.

I did finish this novel, but mostly out of boredom. I didn’t have any other book to read and this was marginally interesting.

The characters are pretty two dimensional and none are especially enjoyable.

The main plot was pretty dumb and confusing. I was disappointed because I’d heard good things about Jennifer Cruise’s books. I waited a long time to get this ebook from my library and I’m annoyed it was such a dud. I’ll be taking her other novels off my to-read list.
