Povídková sbírka Spolu a každý zvlášť přišla v pravý čas. Přesně takové milé čtení jsem potřebovala.
To ujištění, že i v dnešní temné době člověk může potkat svou spřízněnou duši.

i picked this up at the store last week and saw it was an anthology, so, being in a slight reading slump, i thought why not?

these are just some thoughts i had of each story:

1. Love, Delivered (3/5)

are you actually kidding me ???? he brought her a piece of her favourite flavour of cake AND an ANNOTATED BOOK that HE recommended ???? let me repeat, an ANNOTATED. BOOK. A BOOK THAT IS ANNOTATED !!!!!!!! and when he took his mask off in the car and winked at her, i swooned. dead. on the floor. anywho, this one was CUTE

2. The Socially Distant Dog-Walking Brigade (3/5)

this was nice! the author did a really great job at putting so many details in this short story. loved the dogs, loved the walks, loved the (beginnings of) love

3. One Day (5/5)

let me tell you. omg. i smiled so big while reading this. the banter??? the serenading??? the balcony moments??? the “you belong with me” dry erase board signs??? him signing her shoe and her giving him bread??? the maybe one day line??? best story FOR SURE

4. The Rules of Comedy (3/5)

i liked this one! the sister bond was my favourite, smush the dog as well (love the name, no lie)! the believed-to-be-unrequited-crush-but-is-actually-very-much-mutual was sweet

5. The New Boy Next Door (2/5)

this was alright! nothing too special about it, but the writing was good

6. Love with a Side of Fortune (5/5)

the smile i have on my face is hurting my cheeks! this one made me so happy; it was super, super cute

7. The Green Thumb War (5/5)

okay. THIS was one of the best, for sure !! the cat, the dog, the plants, billie and her lasagna, and < sebastian 3 i swear he owns my (and billie’s) entire heart. so freaking cute, loved this and them.

8. Stuck with Her (5/5)

and they were roommates!!!
i keep saying this but … best story best story best story best story, definitely one of my favourites :))

9. Masked (5/5)

the stories really do just get better and better !! i loved this one so so much! the music and balcony scene, such a classic love story <3

this was some really great small love stories, and shows a little insight to how different people reacted under lockdown. but also kinda unrealistic, because like how many got a new partner under lockdown, I certainly didn’t..
