Am I the only one who thought the twist was going to be that

Bridget was gay?? I thought she was panicking because she was in love with Joy and that’s why Joy & Felix broke up & why Bridget was so devastated by the end of their friendship. I honestly thought I was right based on their whole dynamic AND the fact that Bridget and Joy started texting right before Bridget fled to PEI. When I found out it was just that she was moving I was pretty disappointed as I thought the version I created in my head would’ve been more interesting, lol  

. Despite that, the book was the perfect summer read: a little steamy, a little teary, with a dreamy setting that made me want to plan a trip to PEI immediately.
