I very much enjoyed this book about something that I have always been very interested in, graveyards. As a teen I used to wander around them and wonder about the lives of the people who had gone before and I still do it now. My only criticism would be the lack of photos, diagrams or maps. There were a few black and white images but often things were described in detail but I was left wanting to see them. Obviously the answer would be to visit them myself but realistically it wouldn't be possible. I would have preferred this as a nice coffee table hardback with glossy photos, maybe the author would have liked that too ;0)

A fascinating collection of tales from equally fascinating graveyards. Characters you wish you'd met and graveyards I'll definitely visit.
