This was a really nice, quick read! I've been wanting to check out Nia Davenport's YA debut after being obsessed with The Blood Trials. I read most of this while cooking. I think the concept was very interesting and I loved seeing the POVs of these two Black girls, with such different personalities and life experiences. I also liked the depictions of friendships, specifically toxic ones that you slowly lose yourself in.
I did end up being so annoyed at how Megan wasn't being believed or listened to. Despite the outlandish situation, it aggravated me that none of the adults would listen to her and the only one who did was the abuser causing the harm. I do wish Megan listened to her gut more when interacting with the antagonist but I don't think it's entirely inaccurate. I also have mixed feelings regarding the end result for the antagonist.
Nonetheless, I think this was a solid book and I had a nice time with it.

I underestimated this book! It was super good. It follows the story of two teenage best friends who do “m0lly” and end up doing an entire body swap. The ending threw me for a loop! Definitely want to reread.

Loved this thriller! It gave Get Out and Freaky Friday vibes. It’s trippy to thing that the government may actually be performing these experiments on people rn

This was a engaging and speedy read. The story took twist and turns that I was not anticipating, and I overall had a good time with this story.
