Oh my heart! I need a day or two to sit with this, and a review will come!

The end is drawing ever closer for Evie and her fellow Arcana. Their quest to end the game forever will test their resolve and their alliances, and that very outcome will seem impossible at times. Evie is nothing if not determined. Determined to protect the men she loves, her child, and the friends she has vowed to never betray again. The apocalypse rages on, her birth draws closer, and a solution seems just out of reach. The end of this story has been long awaited and desperately wanted, so I will hopefully not spoil it for anyone! It's heartbreaking, devastating, and beautiful and will put you through the ringer. It will test your resolve, and you'll want to put it down and take a few pills from all the tears! But the end result, the perfection in which Kresley finished off this beloved story, will blow your mind! The journey and the pain our poor hearts have been put through will all be worth it. I hope you all love this incredible ending as much as I have! Death, Jack, Evie, and all the rest will forever be in my heart and cherished deeply.

The more I think about the ending, the more irritated I get. I wanted to read more, know more, see how they would live their lives. Whether everyone would find eachother again.

I could not put this book down! Partially because I waited so long for it to come out. I was on the edge of my seat for almost the entire book. It was nice to get to know the lesser known characters along the way and their back stories. The betrayal at the beginning of the book was a hard hit, completely did not see that coming. I was hoping by this book Evie would have become the Red Witch, and in addition, learn how to use her when needed and put her away when not needed. Maybe next book! The love triangle is heavy through the book. I would love to see her pull a Sol, and make a throuple out of this love triangle. I still want to know what Jack’s role is. Is he minor arcana? What is he? Because at this point he cannot just be a normal human, right?! Overall I was blown away by this book. I cannot wait for the final in the series.

I am glad to finally have closure on this series, hadn’t realized it had been so long since the last one. I was not happy with that weird rushed ending, however I admit to not knowing what the ending had in store, so I was anxious the last few chapters. I didn’t understand why the time was given to describe Evie’s time N.D. Just for it to end the way it did. And the other Arcana story lines to go the direction they did felt like a rushed cop out. There was way too much going on as far as build up, just for the fight scenes to be so rushed. This was such a unique interesting series in the beginning, I would still recommend the first few books over the last few.

This book just blew me away. Plain and simple. I have no words. I don’t think I’ve ever cried while reading a book as much as I did reading this one, during the last 50% it was just me sobbing and trying to read through the tears. Some of them sad, some of them happy.

From the Grave is the highly awaited finale of the Arcana Chronicles and I genuinely think Kresley did an amazing job wrapping up the series. I don’t want to say too much because it’s definitely a book you want to go in blind, there are so many good plot twists that I didn’t see coming and yet made so much sense. I think the whole book is absolutely brilliant.

Of course, it’s a series where characters have to kill each other to win a game, so losses are expected. A lot happens throughout. Again, I won’t say more, but Kresley didn’t pull any punches with this one and I loved it. It made me cry and it was brutal at times, but it also made sense considering the nature of the story. Plus, if you’ve read the other books (which you should since this isn’t a standalone) you know how Kresley can be, she isn’t afraid to make her readers cry and suffer…a little.

I know a lot of readers were afraid because this is the last book and they felt like so many things needed to be resolved, but I can confidently say that you shouldn’t be. Kresley is a master at her craft and she knows what she’s doing. Again, she blew me away.

As for the infamous love triangle, Aric or Jack, Jack or Aric? I guess you’ll need to read and find out!

Disclaimer: I was able to read an early copy of this book because I work for the author.

Not going to lie ... I went into this expecting to be completely annoyed with this book. I've been Team Jack since the beginning. I like Aric - just not WITH Evie. So I was prepared to do a lot of eyerolling and disgusted sighing with all the scenes with them coming up.

What I got was that, and so much more. This is the ENDGAME. The alliance is gearing up and planning their ultimate showdown with Richter & Zara. On top of that, everyone's dealing with the fall out from [b:The Dark Calling|31453592|The Dark Calling (The Arcana Chronicles, #5)|Kresley Cole|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1515290041l/31453592._SY75_.jpg|52156609]. Matthew is missing. Lark is mourning. Aric is dealing with guilt. Jack, Jules, Gabe, & Sol are on the mission of building a settlement OR finding Richter. A/E/J are all plotting to keep each other safe - which was totally not going to work for everyone. Then, just when you think it's all over ... WOW, Kresley totally took this in a (welcome) unexpected direction!

Kind of a meh ending. Like, it worked, but was kind of unsatisfying. A fun series overall.
