Worth The Wait!!
Wow. This series is absolute perfection. I am in awe of Kresley and her writing. I honestly didn’t think there was a way that she could end this series well, but she did it with beauty, action, romance, and heart. I have been a fan of Kresley since her first book back in 2003. 20 years (!!!). And I am still stunned by how an individual can write something so EPICALLY BEAUTIFUL.
Dear Kresley, thank you for these adventures - THANK YOU! ❤️

Endings are hard. That was especially true with this series. I have been hopelessly addicted to this series and wasn't ready for it to come to an end.
The battle of the Arcana came to a head and many lives were lost, leaving me one hell of a wreck. Cole knows how to work the emotions and how to work some great twists. Fast action and flash imagery kept me breathless with anticipation. Jack's major role was perfect. I figured he'd have a role bigger than just being the cajun boy next door and I wasn't disappointed. Of course, he'd be a minor arcana. And then getting to watch him decimate even more Arcana? Whoa.
Not going to lie, the ending itself left me unhappy because I'd been hoping for so long that Evie would finally choose between the loves of her life. It's been grueling to watch her hop from one guy to the other and back. Love is tough, but make a decision. LOL. More so, the last stretch felt rushed to me. I just wish it could've lasted longer after all of the pain and sorrow of this apocalypse.
Not bad and the closure was bittersweet, but I was left feeling a little annoyed and a tad empty.

I could not put this book down! Partially because I waited so long for it to come out. I was on the edge of my seat for almost the entire book. It was nice to get to know the lesser known characters along the way and their back stories. The betrayal at the beginning of the book was a hard hit, completely did not see that coming. I was hoping by this book Evie would have become the Red Witch, and in addition, learn how to use her when needed and put her away when not needed. Maybe next book! The love triangle is heavy through the book. I would love to see her pull a Sol, and make a throuple out of this love triangle. I still want to know what Jack’s role is. Is he minor arcana? What is he? Because at this point he cannot just be a normal human, right?! Overall I was blown away by this book. I cannot wait for the final in the series.
When I first picked the Arcana Chronicles, I loved it so much because it was so unique and original.
But I feel like it’s been 84 years since the previous book and I honestly felt it had been too long for me to still connect with the story and the characters.
Maybe I should have had a reread of the whole series 🤷🏼♀️
This is honestly the longest and most insufferable love triangle I’ve ever seen… and it lasts FIVE BOOKS. Just pick Aric, damn it !
The ending was good and then not.
Maybe I’ll give it another chance next year and change my ratings, who knows !
Still undecided on this book. I cried, I laughed I got angry thus book contained all the feelings for me. I still need time to process I think but boy am I going to miss the arcana gang! So sad it's finished
Okay just rip my heart out 7 more times thanks my shirt is WET from crying
Growing up, this used to be one of my favorite series. I greatly appreciate Cole finishing and releasing the last book, but it did feel as if she had already moved on. After an epic build-up spanning 6 books and a wait period of many years, the climax came off as "--anyway, long story short, ...**happy ending**" It didn't ring through as a triumphant, well-developed conclusion to the series, although it did satisfy the need for some type of closure.
