Similar to Stephen King's Misery but much shorter and therefore limited in scope and characterization, this is very uncomfortable at times, but also sad. The revelations towards the end feel kind of inevitable, as does the ending itself.

Not even close

Yikes, did not know I was signing up for dark translated Korean lit, though the synopsis should have given it away.

Oghi is paralyzed and temporarily mute following a car crash that killed his wife. The events leading up to the crash are slowly revealed as Oghi "recovers" at home with his mother-in-law as his primary caregiver. An unexpected psychological thriller.
