A beautiful, moving book of prose that explores a fairly wide variety of philosophical and spiritual subjects in a rather short span. Can technically be read quickly, but is best to be savored. Some lines are so beautiful they made me tear up while reading.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful book! So much beautiful imagery, that takes the messages of the book to another level, it also provides really nice quotes. I hope this is a book that I will pick up from time to time to read through some of the sections. I was a bit surprised by how much I enjoyed this, both because it is a classic, and also poetry. It was a bit challenging language- and writing style-wise, but it was alright and I think that will also just make it just as great to read a second time around.
So spiritual, so poetic, and yet not a self-help book nor a poetry collection. It is a unique kind of book; to call it a novel seems unjust. It seemed to me like it is Gibran’s philosophy relayed by his protagonist, the prophet. I loved it and it has a special place in my heart now.
