Loved the dynamics and relationships they showed between the team and friendships. Great read and can understand what the hype is about (even though this wouldn’t be my first pick for top hockey romance books)

Wow not sure where to begin with this one but I'm glad to finally be finished. I didn't like a single character in this book and got disinterested 100 pages in. It takes a lot for me to DNF a book so I pushed through. I had to stop reading almost every 5 minutes to recover from the second hand embarrassment. Also there was absolutely NO reason for this book to be more than 300 pages and yet somehow it was over 400?
Reading this felt so weird?? I'm not sure if it was the writing or the fact that it was too much going on but there were times I had to re-read entire paragraphs because I'd find myself not absorbing any of the words or understanding who was talking at various points.
This was a huge no for me. The best part was realizing that I had finally made it to the end.

Goodreads is punishing me for reading this doesn’t want me to share this review bc it shut down and deleted everything i had to say. So, this (unfortunately) is my second time writing this.
this book was so bad it was ALMOST good.
It was so unnecessarily long for the amount of conflict that there was. The premise was so weak like … just fix the second rink faster like truly what’s the problem. Nate and Stassie’s conflict ends like halfway through. Aaron is terribly written and I have 0 empathy for him. He only exists to be completely unlikable and he just kept getting worse. The dialogue in this was so cringey i’m literally shivering (derogatory) thinking about it. Truly where was the plot.
That being said, I ate up some aspects. No spoilers but the part w/ Stassie on the ice lake? She ate that ONE thing up. Henry was a good character, too. In general Stassie’s relationship w the team was pretty fun. Idk this book was just so easy to read without an ounce of critical thinking needed like thanks for laying out every single detail for me, Hannah Grace.
Overall, though, I wouldn’t recommend this unless you’re looking for an extremely trashy sports romance.

Maybe I'll be a sports person yet?
Icebreaker is not 'good' per say, but it was such a good time to read. Its funny and cliche in all the best ways. Hockey players are big golden retrievers....who will kill you if you mess with their figure skater. Some things are underdeveloped, it's a little long. I don't like the terrible friend, but it is well written and adds depth. There is also TONS of therapy text. The cover is decieving, this book is RAUNCHY. I absolutely loved watching them turn mushy and had so much fun devouring this story. (no, it is not overhyped).
