Whipped through this book on kindle in one evening. The story was extremely predictable minus the part about where Ben disappeared to but, yet, it flowed well and held my attention. Not extremely well written - a few grammatical errors made me wince but I was invested. I wish the ending wasn’t so rushed and had a few more “what happened after” storyline endings.
It was okay though.

This type is always my go to when I want to get out of a reading slump. I was able to race through it. I really enjoyed the multiple narration, and figuring out which narrator you could trust. I really enjoyed the slightly far fetched ending as it rounded the whole story off (something which a lot of these books don’t do). It had a clear ending and I was able to be empathetic to the characters.

Ehh

I found the story to be very predictable and one-dimensional. All the action happened at the end of the story which made pacing bizarre. I also didn’t find any of the characters to be very compelling. It would have been interesting to have a young ben or young daisy pov to support the character development. There were some interesting big ideas I just didn’t enjoy the way they were pieced together.

Good overall story. A little predictable, but that's OK. Main character (Daisy) makes you want to hit your head with how gullible she is, but there is enough back story to understand why she is like this during the end of the story.
Not a bad "suspense" book.

⚠️ Content warning:
Spoiler Miscarriage, Rape of a minor, Kidnapping, Domestic violence

Listened to the Audio Book.
A bit confusing at first with different character views. Picks up in the second half. Pretty creepy how obsessed the mom is with her son.

Would I tell a friend to seek it out to read? Meh, probably not.

Honestly, I couldn't wait to get to the end of this book/listen so that I could move on to something else. I adore the "crazy mother" trope and I honestly thought the concept of stealing children was okay. But there were passages here that could have been eliminated (added nothing to the story) and there were glaring "aha" moments where the twist was pretty obvious. Overall, meh.
