This was a difficult book to understand and finish.i kept thinking the plot would turn in another direction but it never did. I was rather disappointed.

Not certain how this happened. At times people are not aware of what they are capable of. Kept my interest. Why spend all that time developing the storyline of the policeman and his family? Book brought awareness to social issue of Foster care.
