Dan and Lark are friends, the best of friends, and even though Dan has pined for Lark he’s kept himself in his place just as long as he could be part of her life. Dan is the absolute sweetest of a guy and he is always there for Lark, no matter how much it breaks his heart that she is with another man. My heart hurt for him because of this struggle but I was enamored with him since he never tried to anything devious to Lark’s relationship despite his feelings and instead he was her rock at all times. Lark was sweet and I understood where she was coming from but at first I did question her because she’s engaged to someone who isn’t Dan, but as she struggles with her feelings about tying herself to her fiancé they end up ending things on good terms (which is a nice change in romance reads), but she leans on Dan and he admits how he has felt for years and she admits she has too. This had me questioning why would she even think of tying herself to someone else if her feelings were really true? In my mind I get they are best friends but if she’s pined for him like he did, why put yourself in that situation to begin with?(that’s a me issue) Yet, I get that it adds to the story so I was able to overlook that and continue to love the story. The twists we get that set this story apart from most reads and Dan himself really made me love this story.

This is a series that I absolutely love and getting to dig into Monty and Lark was perfect! They are very lovable characters with a deep friendship, and that works so well for their growing relationship. Monty is so hooked on Lark that he will absolutely melt your heart. Their story flows well, is full of sweet swoony moments, and there's heat! I love the friends that are around them as well. It's a great world to escape into and I am looking forward to more!

I absolutely adored this story! It was soo sweet and adorable! Dan just melts your heart from the very start and you are immediately rooting for him to get his chance with Lark. Dan and Lark are really good friends, like best friends, and have built that friendship from the time that he started on the team. Dan was interested in Lark from the beginning but having been inexperienced through school and wanting to find the right one, not just anyone, he took a little bit of time until he figured out that Lark was already dating someone, and seriously. So he settled in for being her friend and wanting whatever made her happy. He never crossed the line but he still found all the little ways that expressed the way he felt, as pretty much everyone else knew on the team that he was in love with her and she was off limits. Now she is engaged but second guessing all of it. When things finally come to a head and she splits with her fiance and realizes that she has feelings for Dan and he feels the same, it opens up something totally new for them. Neither want to lose the other and I loved how Dan handled taking that step and that risk and moving at a slower pace, one that didn't push Lark or have things fall into a rebound. I loved how intentional they were with each other's feelings and how open about it they were. It was so heartwarming and adorable. Dan is a virgin and he is open about it and why and once he found his person, there was no one else, even if she was with someone else. I loved watching them move forward and find their way together and how they handled the different things being thrown at them. I love how he communicated and took the news of Lark being pregnant and being a father. This story was such a good read and I absolutely loved it! It held my attention the entire time and was just so cute and adorable. I can't wait for more in this series!

So much sweetness! Pro baseball player Monty has been in love with his best friend and team trainer Lark for years, but she's been dating a man named Baron the whole time. When Baron proposes and Lark is thrust into her future mother-in-law's ridiculous wedding plans, she finds herself less and less excited to marry him. Monty is so perfect for her and Baron is not at all what she wants, but she wants to make her parents happy. Oof.
I don't want to spoil much since the way these two progress is so sweet. You deserve to read it yourself! Let's just say Monty is one of the best book boyfriends ever.
🔥: Steamy and sweet! Monty is a virgin and absolutely worships Lark. Lucky woman! Scenes are slowly paced with graphic details.
😆: We get comic relief along the way as these two show how perfect they are for each other!
😭: There are some tough moments, but your tissues should be safe!
Such a cute story! Monty is the absolute sweetest and deserves the biggest HEA ever!

Catch Her Heart is book three in the Vancouver Tridents series, and we finally get Monty and Lark’s story, like Monty, one that I have been pining for since it was first hinted at in a previous book in the series. The wait was worth it! Monty was everything I wanted him to be and all the things I didn’t know I wanted as well.
I have read plenty of virgin tropes; however, this was the first time it was the MMC. Add in an accidental pregnancy, and the story only continues to shine. What Monty lacks in experience, he more than makes up for in enthusiasm, tenderness and thoughtfulness.
Julia knocks it out of the park with many endearing lines: “Birdie, you’re my end game. My championship.” And let us not forget how my beating geeky heart speeds up for all the Star Wars references.
I was sure that SIn and Willow (Break the Rules: Vancouver Tridents #1 )still held first place in my Trident family ranking. However, Monty and Lark might have snuck in a stolen run! As for Mav and Sadie (Fake the Game: Vancouver Tridents #2) their story is a whole other game. If you haven’t read the series, waiting are you waiting for?

Daddy Monty has taken over as my new favorite Trident. That man was the epitome of golden retriever and I was here for all of his sweetness and love for his girl, Lark.
The things he did for that woman before she even knew how much he loved her...eternally swooning for him. The tattoo, the star, the nickname, being the best friend a girl could have while pining for years. That man was pure perfection.
When Lark ended her engagement, opened her eyes to what was right in front of her, and took her "F it" moment I yelled "yes girl" out loud.
The way they had such a beautiful friendship and connection before becoming more made them an even more real and relatable couple. They had a genuine love for one another that organically grew into so much more.
I can't believe Lark even doubted that man for a minute when it came to baby Birdie and how he would feel. Monty was all in before he even had the girl. When he got the girl plus one, game over.
I know there are more Tridents to come but I don't know how anyone can top Monty and Lark for me.
The found family that is Tridents baseball is goals and I love them all so much.

Talk about two lovable characters! I fell for Monty (Dan) instantly. His kindness, his everyone before himself attitude and his big feelings for Lark that he hides because she seems happy with someone else, are all endearing. He is the epitome of a cinnamon roll hero. Lark was a bit of a puzzle at first. So self assured and confident when she is doing her job or with Monty, but allowing her family, her fiancé and his mother to treat her like a doormat. Thank goodness her friends helped her see the error of her ways and opened her eyes to Monty and his feelings for her. I loved that Lark finally stood up for herself, that her friends warned her to be careful with Monty’s heart and that she didn’t shame Monty when he told her his secret.
Their story was both sweet and spicy, with many tender and vulnerable moments as well as some great laugh out loud ones too. I loved the way Lark and Monty encouraged each other to pursue their career goals and supported each other even before they became a couple The close knit camaraderie among Monty and his teammates, and Lark’s girl squad made this book even more enjoyable.
I won’t hesitate to recommend this wonderful friends to lovers romance.

💗Friends to lovers

I'm completely in love with Julia Jarrett's writing. When I saw that the next book would feature a Golden Retriever-type hero who's a virgin and only has eyes for his best friend, I knew I was going to devour it.
Dan Montgomery is the perfect book boyfriend—he’s only got eyes for the heroine, super sweet, caring, patient, and always mindful of her. The relationship between Monty and Lark is such a joy to follow; their chemistry is off the charts, and the level of comfort they have with each other is one of the best parts of the friends-to-lovers trope.
I really liked how the story unfolded, especially with the accidental pregnancy trope. I think it happened at the perfect time because it let me enjoy the progression of their relationship as they transitioned from friends to lovers before that came into play.
Seeing the characters from the other books was great, too. I love Lark’s friendship with the girls and Monty’s with his teammates—they always add fun moments to the story.
Thank you so much, Julia Jarrett, for sending me this ARC!
