Catch Her Heart

Monty has a moment towards the end of the book where he muses that more love is a good thing & I loved that line. I think it sums up he & Lark perfectly. They have loved each other as friends & now as more. They are creating a beautiful bubble of love & family & friends and who doesn’t want more of that

“If this is a dream, I hope I never wake up.”

I can't even with this book. This was the sweetest, geekiest, cutest thing ever and it had me with a goofy grin on my face almost the whole time. The narrators also did a fantastic job of bringing the story and characters to life. Honestly, if you're looking for a feel-good book, this is it.

I've loved all the interactions with Monty since the first book, and I gotta say, I'm pretty sure he'll go down as my favorite Vancouver Trident. I absolutely loved Monty's relationship with Lark. Their friendship was everything, and when their relationship became more, it was even more everything (I know that's not a thing but whatever).

Honestly, the tattoo, the star, the Baby Bird... it all had me grinning and kicking my feet. And when that new 7th inning tradition came up, I swear I had happy tears in my eyes.

Quote: “It’s funny. I went from a virgin to a father-to-be in a very short time. It might not be what I ever would have planned for myself, but I don’t regret a single thing. How could I when the first woman I’ve ever loved will also be the last woman I love? The only woman I’ll ever love.”

  • Dual narration
  • Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
  • Low angst fluffy read. No third act breakup. The plot was just built around these two finding each other, getting pregnant, and being happy. It’s a cute read, nothing shattering. But sometimes you just need something easy, fluffy, with minimal drama and angst.
