This was so much like Life is Strange and they kinda admit it in the end with Cass explaining why she acted the way she did. However, this is a toxis friendship, first from the side of Megan (when they were children), then from the side of Cass (when Megan was visiting) and then again from the side of Megan (ruining an art show of your "best friend" is really bad, believe it or not). I do not think, that Megan deserved to be forgiven. I do not think her "sacrifice" mattered enough, she just got everything she wanted without really being punished for that. It was just not great, such is life.
