I've been sitting here watching my cursor blink for the last twenty minutes.

I'll miss Jonathan and his dirty mouth.
And I'll miss all the sexy.

My intention was to do a proper review for this book. Talk about how it was the perfect culmination to the series. How Monica and Jonathan's journey came full circle. How I laughed, cried, and was stunned speechless. How, for the first time ever, I'm sated with the way a series has ended.
All of that is true.
But all I can think about is the first time I ever picked up a [a:C.D. Reiss|6896405|C.D. Reiss|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1367288383p2/6896405.jpg] book...
My husband was out of town on business, the kids were in bed, the house was quiet, and I had nothing to read. As I paged through the books on my Kindle, the cover of [b:Beg|17258795|Beg (Songs of Submission, #1)|C.D. Reiss|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1358543925s/17258795.jpg|23853590] caught my eye. I had picked it up as a freebie, but was hesitant to read it because it was a serial. At that point, I despised the format after being repeatedly let down by the serials I had read in the past.
So I made a deal with myself, I'd read a chapter or two and if it didn't grab me I'd put it down as a DNF and start something else.

I was hooked.
After finishing Beg, I immediately downloaded [b:Tease|17372058|Tease (Songs of Submission, #2)|C.D. Reiss|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1360777847s/17372058.jpg|24158696]. I read both books that night. Didn't go to sleep until three in the morning because I couldn't put it down. I've devoured every subsequent release since. She is now on my auto-buy author list.
C.D. Reiss single-handedly cracked the foundation of my hate for serials. With each book she released, the cracks grew until that hate was left in a heaping pile of rubble.I feel like I need to thank her for helping me see the light. She created an amazing series with intriguing and well-rounded characters, a robust and intricately woven plot, and a story that flowed seamlessly from one installment to the next.
And Coda. Coda is just... Perfection.
So, C.D. Reiss, thank you!

I try to make my reviews as honest and as short as possible. I have read the entire series and I have loved every single one. this is no different. I felt that this brought closure to Monica and Johnathon, I laughed, I cried, and I cheered at the end. if you havent read the series you should give it a chance.
Bittersweet!!
OMG! CD Reiss is an amazing writer! I mean the emotion she evokes from her words is just unexplainable! I laughed and I actually tested up some too! I LOVE Monica and Jonathan! Though I waited so anxiously for their concluding story, I am truly sad that it's over!

I was sceptical going into this book because i read Monica and kinda knew what was going on but it turned out to be a fun read.
If you're into this kinda thing it worth reading but you have to lower you expectations for the first few books. They aren't expectly awful nor bad just a little less. Considering that those were the author's first official book it understandable.

***ARC given for honest review***
I'm torn. Pulled harshly between the satisfaction of travelling alongside Jonathan and Monica throughout their trials and tribulations and the reality of reading "THE END" for the last time concerning the Submission Series.
This final installment of Songs of Submssion is the perfect ending to a heartfelt story between a Dominant who craves the submission of his soulmate and a Submissive who is not whole until her Master bruises her ass and forces her to bow to his demands. Every rock has been turned, every loose end tightened, every question answered.
It is no secret that I admire CD Reiss and am in awe when faced with her captivating prose-en-poetry. This book is a MUST read after devouring the entire series. I have now closed the book with the last pages and I will miss these two characters terribly.
Thank you for the chance to delve into the minds of JonathanandMonica's (no, not a mistake. They are one, no need to separate the names)internal monologues and discovering yet more depth to these already three (or ten) dimensional characters.

It doesn't seem appropriate to say the perfect ending to the story, but in a way, it was. Definitely worth a read if you read the rest of the series.
