Good conclusion to a great series.

I have absolutely loved this series and am now devastated that it has ended. I have given 4 stars because I felt there was something missing from the ending/final chapters. You met great characters throughout the series and expect bigger things from them but they hardly get a mention in this book. But that could just be me having favourites and wanting something more from them. If you have not read this series then I urge you too as you will not be disappointed.

Definitely feel like this was the worst book of the series, which is disappointing. It wasn't bad, per se, but things just felt weird. We still don't know conclusively who Kip's dad is, as this book makes it seem like it's not Andross even though he stated it was himself previously. The Wight King went down really fast and easily. The immortals were kind of a non-factor? They did stuff but I can't tell how much it mattered.

Speaking of having stuff matter, Orholam being real and actually appearing was a bad move in my opinion. He can literally fix everything, so why doesn't he? He brings Kip back to life, but that's just the life of a protagonist. Bad call to have God actually show up imo.

Idk, just seems like there are still some questions left unanswered and that the story could have perhaps been finished in a more satisfying way.
medium-paced

Fucking amazing, no clue how it kept getting better and better. Everytime I think this can't get any better, it does.

delightful, daring, delicious writing. complex and beautiful. will recommend to anyone who will listen
