Iβm so glad it ended with them being one big happy family. They waited way too long in telling Hinata though omg

This was such a delightful ending to such a cute series πππ₯Ίπππ
And we're done! It's weird, this was one fo the series I started from scratch when I got really back into manga (together with Receptionist), and one of the few that made this long. Actively thinking of this volume, I think I get what I missed in some of the volumes. Family. A little too often, it was just about the two main characters, Hinata oftentimes just forgotten/not overly relevant for the plot. He felt a bit like a plot convenience to not further the plot too much. I personally think this was an overall solid volume and conclusion to the overall story. The friendships Hinata forged in the previous volume continued on in this one (going from no friends to having friends). Also, you also see the love Hinata has for the teacher, how much he adores him, but he also realises that their close relationship isn't the norm so eventually he learns how to keep his distances, but he also does that at home, when the teacher temporarily crashes with them, and the teahcer is like, you're allowed to be friendly with me. Like, I like Hinata's bond with his father, but with the teacher? Chef's kiss. I like that he even mentioned later on, that he saw the teacher almost as a mother figure in the past. Also, the author finally resolved the issue of the teacher working for the same school by making him change careers, though it felt a little out of nowhere. But maybe this is a series I need to sit down and reread wholly in a short amount of time, to have a better grasp on the story (instead of spreading it across 1.5 year). I also found the choice to skip to the junior high (when Hinata is 13+) a little odd. I would perosnally have gone for middle school, but whatever. I do like that Hinata just took it for granted that his father friend and the teacher started to live with them and actively took part in their family activities, not once realizing that they were romantically involved. Is it entirely realistic? Nah, but at least he is now in the know. I still wished that he has been told sooner. I like that Hinata likely will be following in the teacher's footsteps; I adore that he had such a huge influence on that kids life. I must say, there was a definite lack of smut in this book. Like, there was some, but so incrediy little that it almost could get a lower rating (age-rating). I think it is an overall statisfying conclusion that did not ruin this series for me, but I do wish that it was structed a little different, that there was more a focus on family and less on the relationship itself. That there would be more dates, more family building, and them telling Hinata sooner. I did like we see the future with them, so it is clear that they are still happily together. Oh, also, that smile glimpse of a possible younger brother? That was just cruel. Don't make me get home and than take ti all away from me.
