Once, a man on the Discworld built a glass clock. This clock destroyed the world. Luckily, the History Monks managed to put the world back together that time. However, not all beings in the universe were happy about this. The Auditors, for one, would prefer reality stop changing and being so darn unpredictable. Thus, a new clock might be on the way. Will the History Monks be in time to deal with it, or will Death's granddaughter have to fix things once more?
This book has it all! Likable characters! Mysterious magic! Death! Chocolate!
Joking aside though, this is one of my favorite Discworld books. It's got a number of new and old characters who get a lot of great "screen time", both in major and minor roles.I especially enjoy Nanny Ogg getting to meet Susan! It's got a nice mystery at the center of its plot, along with a clear goal of Stopping The Clock From Being Made. You'll laugh and be on the edge of your seat and maybe even get a little "d'awwww" and teary-eyed.
Highly recommended to everyone who enjoys satire and fantasy!
