I loved the atmosphere of the island this was set in, but the reveal of the murders was quite underwhelming. The motive felt incredibly forced though maybe it could really be possible in, like, small town culture.

This one took me a while to follow, but it has been a very busy time and I haven't always been listening carefully. Once I got into the book properly, I really enjoyed it. It's another Kosuke Kindaichi story and I really enjoy these books. In this book, Kosuke arrives on Gokumon island to inform a leading family that their son and male heir has died during a post-war repatriation journey. In the usual twists and turns of a Yokomizo story, Kosuke solves the three muders which follow his arrival.

This is a brilliant thriller novel. You will end up playing guessing game . Well translated and well depicted story base . I loved the way it started and took the stand till the end
