Whilst I was expecting a 5 star read, this book confused me sometimes. The pace was fast, then slow, some bits drew me in completely and others I had to force myself to read through. Sometimes I loved the characters and other times they annoyed me. Overall this book had great promise, but the pacing threw it off for me, it felt like some parts were dragged out, and meant I didn't enjoy it as much as possible.

Rated as a series

Loved the first book, it felt interesting and unique. The rest were boring, following the same format of she finds out she’s the heir to the throne, tries to be queen, everybody dies, eventually she wins, the end. The MMC is written terribly, no personality whatsoever and all he ever talks about is how obsessed with her he is.
