Wow I’m hooked. I honestly don’t know why I’ve been putting off reading this series.
I find the relationship progression between the FMC and MMC interesting. Like hateful obsession to unwilling attraction. As if in their hate and disdain for one another, they’re able to able to be honest and find meaningful connection.

This was so poorly written it’s not even funny. I understand the confusion following your whole world view being challenged but when you cannot write a likeable FMC it’s just annoying and repetitive with the whole “i cannot believe xyz because the king I REALLY HATE couldnt possibly be that bad???”. Also, I really, really REALLY wish authors would stop making their female characters storm out of rooms at every inconvenience to cry in their beds. Also also, the characters kept doing things so out of character it no longer felt like it was them anymore.
Overall, it felt like a fantasy novel written by someone trying their best writing any other fantasy novel.
