I am totally hooked on the Vladimir Tod series. I like reading a fun teen vampire story that's not a romance, and I love Vlad's character! That said, this one (the third in the series) does get a little Twilight-ish at the end, which is why I didn't give it a better rating.

4.5. I really enjoyed this installment in the series. The fight scenes and Vlad finally showing his vampire traits. A quick fun read. I’m trash for vampire books.

(4.5) I was having a hard time accepting that Vladimir has to start drinking from humans. There have been a couple chapters that felt like they were just added to take up page space and I felt like they could have been added to another chapter rather than made a chapter by itself. By chapter 13 I finally started enjoying the story…so only took me 123 pages to get into they story

Loved this book. The plot line was interesting and kept you wanting more. The only thing is that Vlad is really gullible in this one and it almost costs him and his loved ones to loose their lives. In this book Vlad starts having to deal with the problems of being a vampire. His hunger is growing exponentially and his solution for it makes him feel guilty. Henry wants to no longer be Vlad's drudge and Otis is missing in action. A lot happens in this book and a lot is explained although more questions do arise.

The characters are all growing and changing right before your eyes. Heather Brewer is great making deep characters that are believable and you can relate with to a point.

Can't wait to read the next one.

I love this book and series so much. Vladimir Tod will forever have a special place in my heart. I'm probably going to end up getting a tattoo for this book (idc how cringey that sounds). That is how much I love it. Henry and Vlad's friendship is everything to me. They have their bumps but regardless they love each other. Also Otis and Nelly please. I love them so much and I want them to be happy forever and ever. I get emotional every single time I think about how Otis signs his letters. "Yours in Eternity" like king stop, i'm falling in love with you and your goofy ass top hat. Overall I loved this book and I love seeing Vlad's powers change as he is becoming older and stronger.

I remember why I loved this series when I was younger! I’m having so much fun rereading these books.
