i read this as an audiobook, which i always prefer when recited by the author. she has such a lovely voice too, so how could i not indulge?  her prose is really lovely. can’t wait to get into her fictional work now

Some great, some not for me

I loved the poems in the "How to Fly" section and the last section about nature. I felt left out of the poems about the trip to Italy and the poems for people I don't know. I enjoyed reading her poetry; I have only read her fiction before now.

I'm not much of a poetry person, but these were accessible. Read by the author in audio, it was nice to listen to.
