The poem I most want to quote is way too long to copy into this document. So here is a website that has it: https://orionmagazine.org/article/where-it-begins/

I have read most of Kingsolver’s novels and essays, but I don’t think I have ever read her poetry. Although I struggle with how a writer decides what is a blank verse poem and what is a short essay, I do love poetry. I found most of these poems worth reading more than once.
I hope this book gets published in paperback so I can share these poems with my friend Vickie, who also loves poetry.

Barbara Kingsolver reads this collection of poetry...and I just love listening to her read to me. She feels like home, like a warm drink and a cozy blanket, she looks at the world with curiosity and an incredible eye for detail. I loved this collection.
