Ok so the only reason this book gets two stars is because I just love Aria that freaking much!!!

I'm so debating whether I should even continue with this series. Again, this book was pretty much the same as the last book. It repeated the same things over and over again. It was Knox constantly being an absolute douchebag and Aria trying to get away from him, but buckling. Knox doesn't deserve Aria. She deserves someone so much better, and I just can't get over how HORRIBLY he treats her.

“Absolutely never would I wish to be yours again. I don’t want to be your mate or even in the same space with you anymore. I want someone who isn’t bipolar or haunted by ghosts. Being your mate would be the worst mistake any woman could ever make."

"After all that I’d been through, he’d added salt to the wound. He’d rubbed it in until it burned so acerbically that I couldn’t get the granules out of my skin."

This defeated Aria made me so angry. She has done everything to try and right wrongs she never even knew about. All this time, she's fighting by her freaking self to free the Nine realms. She has been abused, talked down to, and assaulted. All the while, still suffering the abuse of Knox. Any time he gets angry, he takes it out on Aria. He finds out that his wife wasn't really his mate and takes it out on Aria. She is AMAZING! He's just an idiot. I think her creature said it best. “You can’t turn it off because the noise is coming from me. He’ll fucking earn us before touching us again. You were right; he’s a dicker.”

“I am Aria, and no matter what blood runs through my veins, we’re all in the same boat, just trying to survive."

“Others have endured a lot more than I have. I will survive because it’s not within me to accept defeat."

She is so strong! I love her fire. I just wish her and her creature would find someone else to obsess over. She deserves to be queen of everything! She deserves it because she doesn't want it. She wants people to be free. She is going to be a beautiful creature of justice and rage and revenge!

So, again, I am left feeling frustrated with this book because I don't want to finish the series because of Knox, but I want Aria to find happiness, preferably with Aden, but that's not going to happen.

Better than the second book. I’m only reading it because I’m interested to see how it goes and i’m attached. But Hutchins needs to find a thesaurus if I have to read wanton, sinewy etc again. I’m throwing my phone across the room
