Catherine strung together a very intriguing mystery with ATMP. I was hooked from the prologue, as I typically am with her writing. The mystery and suspense was phenomenal, and I was between multiple suspects up until the final few chapters before the big reveal. She kept me on my toes entirely for this one! Overall, I enjoyed the mystery and suspense aspect of the story, more so than the romance.
I found it difficult to connect and become invested in Ridley and Colts relationship, they both fell flat for me. I was not invested in their love story and rather than a slow burn, it felt rushed in the second half of the story.
I adored Andi Arndtโ€™s narration of Ridley- she did a wonderful job portraying the emotions Ridley felt throughout the story.
Sebastian Yorkโ€™s narration of Colt was well done, but I was not as invested in Coltโ€™s character as a whole.
Thank you so much to Catherine Cowles, Casablanca Books, and Netgalley for allowing me the opportunity to receive an ARC! I purchased and listened to the ATMP after release day on Audible.

This was a fun and engaging story following a murder mystery podcaster and the hot/troubled town sheriff who falls for her. Catherine Cowles has her perfected formula of spitfire heroines, their protective heroes, and just enough plot twists and "who done its" to make for an entertaining read. I'll eat it up every time.

All the Missing Pieces by Catherine Cowles is a romantic suspense novel that follows a fictional true crime podcaster. I absolutely love this book.

Iโ€™m obsessed with this story. I love Ridley. And Colt. His nickname for her, Chaos. The tension and attraction between them. Their brokenness. The mystery and suspense and intrigue of the story. The tragicness of their sistersโ€™ stories. Her VW bus. The setting in the small mountain town on a lake. The edge of danger coming into play throughout the book. The witty banter. I love all of the pets. I laughed and I cried.

I absolutely recommend this book and I can already tell this will be one of my favorites for the year (and yes, I know weโ€™re only two weeks into the year).

I can confidently say that I did not see the ending of this book coming AT ALL. I will, however, say that I had a theory that really hurt my heart, so I'm very glad that I did end up being wrong because I don't think I would've survived had I been correct.

The shocking ending aside, though, the hype for this book is so well deserved. It's so much more than a true crime podcaster falling for the small town sheriff, it's a heartbreaking story of two people who are broken in ways no one else can imagine, finding solace with one another. And in finding that solace, finally figuring out the mystery that's plagued them both for years.

And the side characters are absolutely the most lovable group of people on the planet. Norm, Sam, Celia, Ezra, Dean, Trey... I could go on forever about how much they added to the story just by being their hilarious, meddling selves. And Emerson, the strongest woman on the planet. I hope she finds her HEA (preferably with Trey) and has a life that brings her infinite happiness and comfort. No one deserves it more.

This book is so much more than romance or suspense. It's a real look at grief and anxiety and fear and how one moment can change your entire life for better or worse. I don't think I'll ever be able to forget about the time I spent in Shady Cove with Law Man & Chaos. I love them infinitely.

One of my favourite Catherine Cowles stories so far! I loved that Ridley had a true crime podcast and the romance in the story was top-notch

I also really enjoyed the mystery to the story, but do wish that there had been a little more emphasis on the โ€œwhodunnitโ€ of it all (which is funny because Iโ€™m usually the opposite. Give me all the romance and I donโ€™t care near as much for the mystery plots. But here I think the backstory was so good, I would have loved a little more)

The queen of romantic suspense has done it again, just like I knew she would! I absolutely devoured this book; it's a true crime, romance lover's dream! It may be Catherine Cowles' best work to date!

When Ridley Bennett's twin sister Avery was abducted right before their college graduation, Ridley set out on a mission to find answers. Her podcast, Sounds Like Serial, becomes her place of purpose. In her VW Kombi van, she travels the country with her three legged cat, Tater, in search of the missing pieces. Her investigation leads her to Shady Cove, where she crosses paths with the broody, gruff, quick to pass judgment, mountain of a man Colter Brooks, who is the town sheriff. Even though there is immediate distrust and tension between the two of them, their chemistry is undeniable. Ridley, with her fierce personality, free spirit and determination, shows Colt that he couldn't be more wrong about her and they discover that they have much more in common than they realized. Colt becomes her protector and safe haven in the danger she faces while looking for answers.

The biggest highlight for me was the transformation that Colt and Ridley's relationship went through. Watching their walls come down with each other was truly beautiful. There were so many funny, painful, raw, intimate, honest, intense moments between the two of them and I loved it all so much! There were also several supporting characters that really added to the story. I loved the strong sense of community; the people of this small town really looked out for each other. The town was so charming and there were moments where I felt like I was living in Shady Cove, wanting to solve these cold cases with Ridley and Colt. And, in true Catherine Cowles fashion, you think you have the villain figured out, but I promise that you don't!

Overall, this book was so, so amazing. It's a story of hope, courage, healing and love. Catherine's writing is absolute perfection and her ability to bring characters and stories to life is unmatched. I can't wait for what's next โ€” I really hope that we get Trey and Emerson's story!

Thank you so much to Catherine and her team for the arc!
