Catherine strung together a very intriguing mystery with ATMP. I was hooked from the prologue, as I typically am with her writing. The mystery and suspense was phenomenal, and I was between multiple suspects up until the final few chapters before the big reveal. She kept me on my toes entirely for this one! Overall, I enjoyed the mystery and suspense aspect of the story, more so than the romance.
I found it difficult to connect and become invested in Ridley and Colts relationship, they both fell flat for me. I was not invested in their love story and rather than a slow burn, it felt rushed in the second half of the story.
I adored Andi Arndt’s narration of Ridley- she did a wonderful job portraying the emotions Ridley felt throughout the story.
Sebastian York’s narration of Colt was well done, but I was not as invested in Colt’s character as a whole.
Thank you so much to Catherine Cowles, Casablanca Books, and Netgalley for allowing me the opportunity to receive an ARC! I purchased and listened to the ATMP after release day on Audible.

All the Missing Pieces by Catherine Cowles is a romantic suspense novel that follows a fictional true crime podcaster. I absolutely love this book.

I’m obsessed with this story. I love Ridley. And Colt. His nickname for her, Chaos. The tension and attraction between them. Their brokenness. The mystery and suspense and intrigue of the story. The tragicness of their sisters’ stories. Her VW bus. The setting in the small mountain town on a lake. The edge of danger coming into play throughout the book. The witty banter. I love all of the pets. I laughed and I cried.

I absolutely recommend this book and I can already tell this will be one of my favorites for the year (and yes, I know we’re only two weeks into the year).

I can confidently say that I did not see the ending of this book coming AT ALL. I will, however, say that I had a theory that really hurt my heart, so I'm very glad that I did end up being wrong because I don't think I would've survived had I been correct.

The shocking ending aside, though, the hype for this book is so well deserved. It's so much more than a true crime podcaster falling for the small town sheriff, it's a heartbreaking story of two people who are broken in ways no one else can imagine, finding solace with one another. And in finding that solace, finally figuring out the mystery that's plagued them both for years.

And the side characters are absolutely the most lovable group of people on the planet. Norm, Sam, Celia, Ezra, Dean, Trey... I could go on forever about how much they added to the story just by being their hilarious, meddling selves. And Emerson, the strongest woman on the planet. I hope she finds her HEA (preferably with Trey) and has a life that brings her infinite happiness and comfort. No one deserves it more.

This book is so much more than romance or suspense. It's a real look at grief and anxiety and fear and how one moment can change your entire life for better or worse. I don't think I'll ever be able to forget about the time I spent in Shady Cove with Law Man & Chaos. I love them infinitely.
