I've started watching TLOK and I'm about four episodes in, but I decided to read the canon comics first because people say they give a lot of insight about everything. Having seen four episodes of TLOK, and now that I've read this, I can say that it does make a huge difference. It picks up right after the series and there are so much adventure and action immediately. I feel like I'm watching an episode and I can hear the characters while I'm reading!

As readers, you'll get to see where the ending of the series has taken our beloved characters. A fan-favorite character's arc gets twisty, so there's definitely a lot to look forward to in terms of the comics!

While reading Avatar The Last Airbender: The Promise Part 1 I thought it was a good continuation of where the show had left off at. Zuko is the new Fire lord and hopes to make changes to society to bring harmony to the nations, but ultimately it seems as tho he is going to go down the same path as his father. Aang made a promise to Zuko to stop him if things were to become like Ozai again but he couldn’t risk killing his friend in the process. Ultimately I like how we see Aang battle this inner turmoil of the promise he made to his friend or the promise he made of protecting his people within the 4 nations.
