Absolute garbage. Waste of my time reading the 52 pages I did and I will not put myself through anymore of this utter crap.

If you handed me this book and told me AI wrote it I would fully believe you. 12 y.o me could write a more comprehensible book than this because what was that? No exaggeration this is the worst book I have ever read in my life.

Note: With further research: ALEXIA MASON ISN'T REAL. Apparently a pseudonym for an adult thriller author. (I like the theory it's AI)

What I liked:
  • the first chapter
  • prologue structure (shaped like a cliff)

What I didn't like:
  • The other 47 chapters
  • The lack of any grammar in the entire prologue
  • The epilogue?
  • The characters
  • The "plot twist"
  • The use of the phrase "they all laughed" twice in every class scene (there's a lot)
  • The death
  • The motive?
    (she's just insane basically)
  • The one off mention of self harm that is never brought up again and solely shock factor
  • They spent 2 pages talking about water. In the first chapter

The characters were bland and too simmilar to know who is who. There were time jumps that made no sense or needed to have a time jump. The ending was horrible. The whole story was about doing a school exam and then in the last six pages there was a fight and a character died. It was not a murder mystery. Very dissapointing

This book was painfully bad?? I was so excited about a book set in Ireland with the Irish language and introducing people to the Gaeltacht but Jesus this book was almost unreadable. The characters were so similar that it was impossible to tell them apart, the scene switching and time hopping made the story line extremely difficult to follow, and honestly there really isn’t much of a plot to this book until the last 10 pages? Even at that, the twist at the end is just a bit strange and really underdeveloped. I was so so disappointed by this book.
