Honestly the best manhua I've read so far. The art is beautiful and alot of the time the plot can't meet the standard of the art but not here. The plot was enthralling from the start and everything makes sense as it moves.

How overbearing and difficult a mother in law can be was so well portrayed. The way it's so common to put harmony over conflict resolution was so well put as well. But it was also nicely put how not all families are that way and furthermore, how getting back and revenge isn't always worth the effort. For some I think the way the plot just leaves the stepmom and mother in law may seem like lazy writing but I think how we never get back to that family (father included) is a message and following what An proclaimed very well. She never forgave them but she cut off allowing them to hurt her further. A true no contact. The father for some redemption but as they said, he still hurt her and her mother so he still deserved to be cut off.

The progression of all the relationships were brilliant as well. I loved that understanding their own feeling was the growth instead of external drama. Watching them self-reflect and communicate was such a refreshing plot. It is rare that internal work is the forefront of the story instead of a third person causing misunderstandings and jealousy. The second couple was just as great and thought out as the first. I liked how it wasn't just automatic that QingQing likes Buyan after he confesses to her. I feel like sometimes they just drop the crush they originally have and likes the characters we follow. Simply, all the relationships were so mature and accounted for. We were even given a thorough backstory behind QingQing and Fan that we were able to acknowledge and understand why QingQing still liked him, it wasn't just a simple stubborn crush, they had history and it was bad timing with their story.

100% recommend this story!
