I can’t believe I almost contemplated skipping this to jump straight to Kingdom of Ash, especially with how empire of storms ended. I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did, especially knowing that it didn’t have all of the main characters. The story, the lore, the character growth! It makes the Empire of Storms so much richer that I wish I had tandem read them in the first place.
