This book really didn't give any different steps on building a writing ritual. Show up, sit down, write consistently: that's pretty much what any writing ritual entails. And the book really could have used another edit - I found several spots where the wrong word was used or a word was missing.

It's okay, preachy, and he tries to sell himself a bit, but overall good advice.

There are some great ideas in this book about how to establish a writing routine or practice. However, I disliked the author’s tone. It made me feel like I was being persuaded to buy something instead of being asked to commit to a routine that will help me create the writing life I want.

Three days in and so far so good. I have a little more research to do before picking up the writing again.

After reading the predecessor, this book was just a repetition of what I also know about the morning routine. I liked that the examples were writer focused but that's less that 25% of the book.

The rest of generic writing advice and that's not what I picked this book for. So that's a disappointment.

Quick review for a brief read between reads. I'm on the fence about "The Miracle Morning for Writers" on the whole, though I liked a good portion of it and will likely return to those pieces for reference. It's a very good overview of several aspects of writing, especially for beginning writers, and the most helpful parts of the book for me came in the first 40% (or thereabout) of the book about building the concept of the "Miracle Morning" and developing solid affirmations in your writing habits. But then the book became slightly redundant and dragged into very long sections when it came to the framework and process of writing. I feel like the reference materials for writing guides included in the book (like Rachel Aaron's "2k to 10K") did a better job of providing orientations and productivity strategies. A good reference guide for actionable inspirations, but I think it was too general in several sections, particularly when it came to writing craft.

Overall score: 3/5 stars.

This book punched me in the face, got me to stop make excuses and get back to my writing projects. Not all of it was relevant or helpful to me personally, but the parts that were have really changed my outlook on my sleep habits, morning routine, and writing routine.

I read The Miracle Morning a while back, and it changed my life. Seriously when I first read it I was like bullshit, but then I tried it out, and it upped my productivity.  When I was browsing Kindle Unlimited, and I saw they had A Miracle Morning for writers I was intrigued.  So I downloaded it and started reading. The short version is you do your miracle morning then you do your writing for the day.

It does go into detail about how you can make money writing. Most of the information I already knew. I am not going to say that this was a bad book, but rather I was hoping for a new insight or something different than what I got. I had read SO...MANY... Books on writing so I am not sure how something can be NEW, but it could have at least have been packaged in a more appealing way. I mean You Are A Badass does not have anything new in it per se, but the way it is packaged made it worth te read.

I am so not a morning person and the idea of waking up in the wee hours of te morning to do shit just don't appeal to me. I do the routine though when I wake up, but I refuse to get up at 5 am just do follow someone idea of a great morning. The reason I work from home and for myself is precisely to avoid having to be productive at an unholy hour of the day.

If you haven't read the Miracle Morning Then, this book will fill in some of the gaps. However, I did not find enough new information in this book to find it wrothwhile. This review was originally posted on Adventures in Never Never Land

This book is a fantastic addition to any writer's library. Whether you're just starting out and need a how-to book with simple steps or a veteran writer who wants to add to your collection of informative writing library, this book will satisfy you both.

I've been writing for nearly two decades, and enjoyed reading the The Miracle Morning for Writers. There are several tips that I intend to try and a few that I already have. It was interesting to learn about Life S.A.V.E.R.S. and I can see how beneficial such a program can be for a morning person.

I highly recommend this book for writers as well as the other books in this series. If this one is an example of the other Miracle Morning books, then I'm sure it will help anyone who is looking to change their life for the better.
