A nice murder mystery sit in an interesting historical context. The book manages to get inside the consequences of the political and religious changes of the Tudor dynasty, without ever becoming slow or.

Nothing amazing but not too bad either. Much more of a formulaic mystery novel set in the past rather than an historical period-piece including a murder. In the same vein as Eco’s The Name of the Rose, which I had a lot of trouble getting through because it was so slow. Will I continue on with this series? Still thinking on it.
