Great account that definitely read like a slow-creeping thriller!

WOW. Elizabeth Holmes seemed to go to any length to have her 'vision' succeed, although technologically impossible! She seemed so delusional, but so bought into something that didn't exist only in her imagination. When she decided to cross that line and take out to market to Walgreens and ACTUAL clients, that is when it went too far...like Carreyrou pointed out. The fact that she was able to get some wealthy investors to believe in this vision and allow it to get as far as it did was utterly insane too, but she did prey on older wealthy political figures that were clueless--Betsy DeVos being one of them (no doubt). No medical experts on her boards or as advisers, of course. Her and Ramesh were such amazing manipulators and it's AMAZING that all that $ invested is now gone. So unfortunate she was the first woman in tech that had really been recognized to start up something 'successful'. Sigh. Such a very interesting and scary woman. I really wonder what he upbringing and her youth was like.

I couldn't believe that so many people got drawn in by her deep voice and her promises. I couldn't understand how so many people invested in her company, and kept investing despite the lack of concrete progress. Venture capital is such a broken part of our business, but it almost feels necessary at this point

I listened to the audio of this book. I found it easier to follow because there is so much going on. The story is unreal to me. Fascinating.
