Dragged in places, but a lovely book. A great follow up to When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit.

 CW/TW: Anti-Semitism
Age Rating: 10+

- I don't have very strong feelings about this book
- Papa was the best, as usual
- Anna got a little annoying in the middle
- Anna's romance with John Cotmore was questionable. She was eighteen and he was around forty!!! Thank goodness it didn't work out.

- I will read the third book in the series :)

So I really enjoyed this. Was it brilliant? No. Would I have even picked it up if it was by another author? Maybe... But the thing is When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit was a really big part of my childhood, so I really enjoyed getting to see more about Anna. The Anna I grew up reading about, was terrifyingly unaware at times and it was interesting watching her grow up and adapt to new challenges in a world where she was far more aware of the horrors around her. I have been so attached to this family for so long, well worth the read.
