A fun book

This book is starting out way too wordy. Again, a better editor is needed. The author is still using weird terms to that are supposed to be pop-culture references but they’re not. Some of the catchphrases are corny or outdated…
I’m this book, Alex has a girlfriend, but she didn’t have to be so basic flat and stupid. She has no sense of self outside of Alex. Why would a woman author do this? He refers to her as pumpkin and this makes it worse. She doesn’t know who is Indiana Jones is and considers Twilight a “scary movie.” Wtf? No one thinks twilight a scary. And no woman explains having her purse because it has a “girl things” . Again, wtf?? The way these women are written it makes me wonder if this author even likes them. The women’s dialogue is painfully stereotypical, generic, and flat. No thought or nuance. This story fails every woman in the story. Their storylines are thin and they’re basic and weak willed. I would expect a lot more from a woman author. It’s disappointing. This would’ve been a much better story if it didn’t fail its female characters.

The exact kind of good bad read you want to see. Like eating a triple fudge sunday. Parts so bad they make you roll you eyes but smile anyway because this book is just about fun.
