Endearing, but. Main character somewhat devolved into a Bilbo Baggins by the end of the book. Not terrible, but.
It also seemed to be setting up for a lot more that the author just kind of let drift off without mention. It feels very incomplete, but there's certainly no room or need for a sequel. First half went great, and it just became increasingly awkward.

Very slow and contemplative. As others have said, it's an odd love triangle the story focuses on,instead of anything the title or description might lead you to think. This is a book of artistic pining, and that is generally not for me.

Never would I ever think a book could be so poetically beautiful UNTIL Titanic Survivor’s Book Club landed on my lap. It was absolutely stunning from beginning to end - don’t let the slow pacing fool you, the tale of our poor Yorick, Zinnia, and Haze will make your heart skip a beat. Cannot wait to reread this in the near future!

I went into this thinking it would be about history and books and the experiences of people from the Titanic. But it's not any of that. There is some books in it, but it is mostly a love triangle of strange proportions and it's actually quite boring. Much of it is epistolic writing and the rest is mostly dialogue but none of it is particularly interesting. Skip this one.
