A sweet, laugh out loud, overall pretty perfect romance novel, with a unique and convincing setting, plenty of relatable observations about academia, and numerous winks to the reader. Also I liked the hypotheses at the start of each chapter giving a lil preview. Can't give 5 stars only because I wasn't always convinced by the dialogue—LOTS of discussing Starbucks drinks and some clumsy terms of endearment.

I quite liked this book, and I have no idea what all of the internet hate is about, because all I've seen on social media is about how awful this book was. I think it's because it is very obvious that it used to be Reylo fanfic, and people just hate fanfic for some reason.

Well, it was quite good, and fell into several tropes that I really like, including fake dating and real feels. It features demi-sexuality rep, Jewish rep, and Olive discovered a lot about herself and what she really wants in life as the story goes on. There were aspects I thought could be better, but it was fun. Olive was witty and incredibly genre-savvy, and while Adam was pretty one-dimensional, he does grow a fair amount as a character.

The book is cheesy, but in a fun, self-indulgent way. A fake dating book that likes to poke fun at the whole fake dating trope. Most of the book seemed pretty cliche YA, but it got a little spicy towards the end. I'd say this is a fun, light-hearted beach read.

Okay so I loved this overall. Adam is such a good bf but…. I found olive adorable but also annoying. For a scientist her inner thoughts made her seem like such an airhead. Miscommunication trop isn’t my favorite but they have cute moments and overall amazing chemistry. I was really happy with how things ended and ugh he is so perfect. Really fun fake dating, protective broody grump w/ bubbly naive sunshine. Very fun overall worth the read and has some really funny and tension filled moments
