Ok, I'm by no means a romance reader, unless of course it has smut in it. This book was fun and also ridiculous at times, but it felt like the author knew it was ridiculous and played along with it. It's good for a lighthearted romance. Even though I didn't love this book, yeah, I will read books by this author in the future just to try my luck. Toodles!

I am only giving that extra star because the male lead didn’t turn into an evil psycho maffia who beats up the girl every time he gets upset at things.

By the way, big man how cool huge woaaah yeah, I know. But dear readers, it was a little bit too unrealistic in my opinion. I’m the same height as the female lead. The narrator says that our girl’s head was barely, if not almost at the chest level of this man. I just stared at my very tall bathroom door for a very long time. I did the math in my stupid little brain, which is not very usable after reading this book for an entire night. I compared me, the imaginary big guy and the door with each other. And migh I say, he wouldn’t have fit even trough my bathroom door. It’s just a regular door. And he would had to be folded in two like a paper if he would enter my house. Just saying. I know people that big exist, but I’m not sure if the goal was actually to make him that big, you know? Like he has to be Hagrid or something if we are being realistic here.

Also, It started as this little feet kicking cute kind of silly love story. There was nothing wrong, sometimes it was even interesting. I usually don’t like the tropes it included, like fake dating etc. but this one really caught my attention. Unfortunatelly, around page 100 I realised this is not for me, but I thought I might just finish it since I got so far. Around 200 I was really hoping for something really good to happen, like a plot twist, which just didn’t come. Around 300 they started making love. And then it ended. I was like, woah, well, that was heaty. Okay let’s move on, give me some actual plot. But no. It just happened again. And again. And again. And some more again, and then they had to stop because sun risen up or something like that.

I don’t even want to talk about all that Tom thing. Everyone was so stupid that I just couldn’t. After halfway trough the book, I stopped taking the whole story seriously and skipped some parts as well, and honestly I don’t feel guilty about it. I should have stopped reading when I had the chance to.

It was very bothering how in every sentence you would see at least one of these mentioned: she is small and dainty and thin, he is big and big and big, she is poor, and he is rich.
Why do I constantly have to read about white men and their money? No but seriously, why is this thing constantly being shoved into my face?? “I grabbed his arm, just above his VERY EXTREMELY TREMENDOUSLY EXPENSIVE watch and….”- or something like that. I am obviously exaggerating here, the sentence wasn’t written like this but honestly, this is what I see after the 100. mentioning of his wealth. I could not possibly care less about his money.

Anyways I know I’m a bit mean lol but let’s talk about it’s good parts. I feel like this book was very wattpad. Very very wattpad. And I’m not saying that to shame on it, but that is just not my thing. BUT even though it was very wattpad, I didn’t really see any toxic relationships in it. Our big guy didn’t turn into a bdsm addict, he was actually kind which surprised me. I liked how Anh talked about feminism and how important her role actually is in that university as a non-white woman who is paving her way trough the paths which white men easly just walked over. I liked her point of view on things sometimes. I liked how these characters were very invested in their jobs and studies. It was taken seriously, it was actually a big part of their life.

I heard that this is a fanfic about that guy in the starwars. Adam Driver? You know who I mean. I have no problem with fanfics, neither fanfic lovers. But as I was reading, couldn’t stop thinking about how a huge crowd of people are sexualising this man while reading this, about him and his uhm, stuff, imagining him in lovemaking scenes trough pages and pages. It’s like if he is a sex symbol at this point and it’s bothering me so much. Honeslty, If I would be in his place I would feel so violated. I know that this is basicly what fanfics are, and there are billions of them about different people, but it still feels so wrong. This man is a living human being. Probably has a family and stuff. It’s just so weird.

Long story short, I would recommend this to people who like wattpad but are too old to have it in their phone. This is for you if you miss those little wattpad stories you used to read when you were 13, but without all the toxicity and harm. And a lot of lovemaking. I think they made love for like 40 pages without stopping.

I would give it a 1.5 stars at most. I really want to give it just 1, but then I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings. And I have definitely read worse books before, so I don’t want to say that this was the worst.

Okay I wrote more than enough bye.
