Wow. I didn't want this series to end, but I guess all good things come to an end, huh?

Seb and Ailin's story was so beautiful, made me cry a whole lot but it also made me laugh. I fell in love with A's coven and all the characters and I'm looking forward to the spinoff series.

Lots of action, magic and love. Also subtle humour and huge heartaches. The end dragged a little but the final conclusion was satisfying. I’m so glad the author has made a spinoff with the kids!

Epic series. I've read bits and pieces of the larger series before but never these in a straight shot and they are excellent. I was actually skimming the smut to get back to the story and that RARELY happens, I am usually a smut slut all the way.

Just....Wow! This is a series that has to be read in order and those who are fans, will be blown away by the final book.
There is so much going on, right from the start, but everything holds and flows really well together. We get to enjoy several characters POV but mostly stay with Sebastian and Ailin. With how much they both go through, it's necessary to follow the story through their eyes but it does help having different perspectives and understanding in certain events.
Following on from Witch's Blood, there is so much destruction with the Beserkers raining down chaos around Brinnswick and Arronston. There is another evil force at play though and our MC's struggle to catch up and find out what it is. The Ellwood family truly come together in this book, bringing their love and strength to each other, especially in times of need. Ailin remains true to self and carries the weight of the world on his shoulders and with so much happening, it becomes an issue with him needing to save everyone, stop everything and stay a step ahead of the enemy.
Even with so much going on (battles, magic, fear, death) there is always time for tender moments between the Ellwoods and even a laugh once in a while which definitely helps to balance the story and make things more manageable for the characters and the reader. Emotions run high throughout the whole book and the author has perfectly conveys everything. I felt right there with the characters, experiencing the highs of love and the lows of loss and war.
Cannot recommend this series enough! Michele Notaro has provided a perfect send off for Seb and Ailin though I'm hoping to hear from them again in the future :-)

This is the final book in this series and it does not disappoint. Ailin and Sebastian are put to the test and their bond and love will be strengthened Can the two men find a way to have their happy ever after and save their world? With the help of their friends they fight the evil that threatens all but will it be enough or will a sacrifice have to be made?

I enjoyed seeing Ailin and Sebastian fight for their love along with the fate of the world. The two are perfect together and the love that they share shines through in everything that they do. Their story is full of emotion and pulls hard on your heart. As always the author does a wonderful job of creating a wonderous world full of strong characters and emotions. I was happy to see the conclusion of this story arc but was also sad that it was over and I had to say goodbye to this world. I hope that we get ot return to this world and its characters again so see what their lives have become after this. I loved seeing the camaraderie and the friendships that have become so strong.
