I honestly remember nothing about this book. Even when I started to read it I remembered more about the TV movie based on the book than I did the actual story. Basically it revolves around Pat Traymore who comes to Washington to do a documentary on Abigail Jennings a US senator and top contender for the next VP of the United States. Pat is hiding her own past, when she was just a little girl she witnessed a violent act the murder suicide of her parents. She was left seriously injured and her Aunt who adopted her actually sent her obituary into the papers so that Pat could move on and leave the past behind her. She isn't happy that Pat is not only going to Washington but staying at her old house where the tragedy occurred. This was a decent but somewhat forgettable story. The usual Washington scandals and affairs, things not being what they appear to be. Like I said I had more memories of the movie version than the actual book itself so that should tell you something.

STILLWATCH is a story that will keep you at the edge of your seat and entertained from the beginning until the end. Mary Higgins Clark is at the top of her writing game with this book. There are a lot of twists and turns throughout this book.

Top investigative journalist, Pat Traymore, is in Washington finding out everything she can about Abigail Jennings, the ambitious but highly secretive Senator tipped to be the first woman Vice-President.

Pat Trevayne goes to Washington to produce a TV profile of Senator Abigail Jennings. In doing so, she sets in motion a series of events dealing with old political schemes and family secrets. This is a good read with some fun twists...but it is more appropriate for older teen readers searching for something mysterious.
