I've tried reading this three times now, and I always get stuck somewhere early on. Once I stopped then, I couldn't get myself to read again. So whenever I picked it up again, I had to start over. Idk, maybe the pace, maybe all the different pov's.. Perhaps I'll try again later.

As much as I wanted to dive into this world and examine it and feel excited, it was lacking in something and too large in others.

Okay, it deserves the hype, I promise. I read this when I was 15 and while the politics were somewhat lost on me I still really loved the story and the fantasy elements were wonderful. Would love to reread this as an adult but I'd like to finish the series before I attempt that haha!
