I never thought I'd like LDS fiction until I read Julie Wright's books. She crafts magnificent characters that are relateable and interesting, and manages to bring in Gospel topics without it being sappy. Thank you Julie!

I really like the story of this book. I loved the way the past touched the future, and the relevance that has in every day life. We need to look to our ancesters more often, and learn form their struggles and trials, and apply them to our own lives. It also gave voice to something I have often thought true, there is a reason that we are all born in the dispensation that we are. I certainly could not have withstood the physical trials that our forebarers went through, but I also think that we are preyed upon by Satan with each passing year. This is a fun and easy read. I was touched by the characters and the struggles they faced.

This book is about Liz a senior in high school who is having a hard time finding her place in life. Then her fifth great grandmother is somehow transported into her life. Constance is searching for her family, and Liz is trying to keep her's together. They finally decide to work together to make both of their lives right again.

I really enjoyed this book. I love learning about the pioneers and it was fun to picture one in our time. Liz's story reminded me a lot about my teenage years and so I really related to her character. I would recommend this book to girls who are trying to find themselves and others who want a good read.
