This book enraged me at parts but grasped my heart in the very next page. I love the change in point of views.

A beautiful and heartbreaking story of a woman dealing with the reality of being a female scientist in 1950s America. Elizabeth Zott is a highly complex character who I think many women can relate to, regardless of their profession or social skills. I highly recommend this read to any woman who wants to feel equally infuriated and empowered. I could not put this one down.

I would however encourage anyone interested in reading this book to check the trigger warnings, because some scenes in the book are incredibly intense and emotionally exhausting.

I always love it when authors write about strong female characters but for some reason this book didn’t resonate with me as much as I hoped it would.

I think it had some interesting ideas and it reminded me of my admiration of all women who were driven to and attempted to work traditionally men’s jobs.

The narrative of the dog seemed a bit gimmicky, and I think less could have been said of the main character’s beauty, but overall a decent read. I can see why many people love it.

I just really loved this book. Feminist and strong, this book really does paint a very believable alternate history.

Liked this one a lot. Not much more I have to say about it other than I think it will translate well into a TV show.
