probably my least favorite of the adaptations so far! It’s just hard to compress so much plot into less than 300 pages so it felt like we lost a lot. The art is gorgeous as always though!

5/5 stars

In my hubris, I gave the earlier volumes 5/5 because they are amazing, but this one just is just absolutely incredible. Five stars are insufficient! I kept continuously quoting and sharing pages and shots with my wife as I read along. Kravitz's design is gorgeous. Noelle is great. In the graphic novel format, a lot of the relationships we know will come to pass get more time on-screen here (since the authors know what the endgame is) which is a delight. Some good good queer flirting, and ending super strong on good good plot foreshadowing. Super excited for the next one.

It’s so goooood! 100% best one so far, but I’m biased because the Crystal Kingdom was the first arc that really piqued my interest. And probably second favorite over all after the Suffering Game and Story and Song. I feel like the art really keeps just getting better and better. All of the color in this one was fantastic!

Also, those last two pages made me tear up a bit. And the bit with the MyStErIoUS red robe was just *chefs kiss*

Another stellar book! Fun had all around with twists I didn’t see coming while making me so much more interested in the lore!

I never know what they're going to pick and choose from the podcast when they make these, but this one smashed it out of the park! I love that we're getting more foreshadowing and character interactions that would have been so good in hindsight, they're definitely putting in the work to make a more cohesive story. The art is amazing as always, and I can't wait for Eleventh Hour!
