A basic, forgettable gay high school sports romance.

It's not a great sign for a romance when the most intriguing character is the "shitty ex" – and yet, I wish this whole book centered around her. Why is she the way that she is? That's my biggest takeaway from a book that has very little to do with this girl; there isn't much else to say about it.

i picked it up for the fun trope. the main character is obnoxious and the nemesis is actually likeable and a good person. i’m confused lol.
