Book 2 was a bit easier to read than the first one, as we'd done most of the lore dump about the world, but there were still far too many names and characters for me to follow easily (especially as an audiobook where I couldn't just flick back to remind myself).
I also didn't realise that this was going to be such a long series, my library only has the first 3 books as audiobooks so I assumed it was a trilogy! Which meant that as we were digging deeper into the corruption of the gangs in London, and not getting closer to destroying the evil Rephaim and the government, I was very confused about the pacing and why more problems were added and not being solved. Idk if I care enough about this series/characters/world to read seven (7!) books about it, but I've enjoyed the first two enough to keep going for now.
