I liked the book in the beginning but I feel like it we dragged on to long in the middle. Also, the traitor trying to kill Ryland was kind of obvious and the ending wasn't as explosive as the action in the beginning. It was good but it could have been so much better.
This book is phenomenal! The banter between Miranda and Ryland is hilarious. This seriously became one of my favorite books. Love!
I saw a book by this author on one of my book groups and thought I'd give her a go. Great book that I really enjoyed, the story flowed and you felt like the characters were people you'd like to know. Lady Miranda Hawthorne isn't just another miss in the ton as she's now on her fourth season. She writes all her thoughts about her life in general in letters to her brothers friend Marsh and has done for many years, however she's never posted any of them. Her brothers new valet Marlow posts one of the letters and a week later Miranda gets a shock when Marsh writes back, here starts a correspondence that she feels comfortable with as Marsh is missing from society and she'll never meet him. At the same time she's confused about her feelings for Marlow and with the gap between their stations. Defintely a great author to read.
