Woof. This was not good. I can’t exactly put my finger on it but I think most of it was due to the writing style. I just did not vibe with it. The world building was confusing, I wasn’t convinced the characters were truly in love with each other and the enemies to lovers shift was way too abrupt so it didn’t feel real or believable. I won’t be continuing the rest of the series.

I loved how easy it was for me to picture the world they’re in- everything is described in great detail down to the voice of the characters. This book was an incredible get away and so much fun to read. Literally had me giggling kicking my feet the whole time. Loved this.

Love the diversity of sexuality in characters and sister story.

I give it 1.5 stars because I liked the tension between Lark and Cerulean but I hated the purple prose and confusing scenes. It hurt my head so much to read this book. Definitely not for me.

God this is written so horribly. But I read it all. So what’s that say about me.

This book was very hard to get into. In the beginning, it was almost too much detailed description used, where I got lost about what I was even reading about in the first place. It took me 50% of the book to finally connect with it and start to enjoy the read. I also wasn't a fan of the back and forth emotions. For example: "I've missed this. I want this. I love this. Please, love this back, Please, don't let go. Please, remember me, Please, forget me."

I knew from the start that the boy was Cerulean and the pretending that they both had "no clue" made it annoying.

Kiss the Fae is a good book with equal parts angsty buildup and smutty goodness. The beginning of the book is a little clunky and takes a minute to get its feet on the ground, while explaining the world the details and descriptors become a little overwhelming. The story line is interesting and kept me flying through the pages. I will be reading the rest of the books in this series and I am looking forward to seeing what is in store for these sisters.
